May 18, 1937 — May 15, 2014

LEE ROY BERRY passed away on May 15, 2014 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of Pearl M. Berry of Cotati. Cherished father of Kevin Lee Berry of Rohnert Park and Kenneth Roy Berry of Novato. Adored grandfather of Nicole Lee LaBare of Forestville. Dear son of the late Bobbie Lee and Earl Berry. Loving brother of Doris Ann Bennet (Bill), Billy G. Berry (Shelby), and the late Gladys Smith, Helen Shull, Willie Mae Whisenant, and Ray Berry. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age: 76 years. Roy was born in Burke County, NC. He met and married the love of his life Pearl and together they started Roy's Sewer Service, Inc in November 1968. After 45 years of operation, it is still a successful family business to this day. Roy was an avid golfer, fisherman, and hunter. He was a current member of Rooster Run Golf Club in Petaluma where he played golf rounds regularly with friends and other members. He also made several fishing trips to Alaska, which he enjoyed the most. He was a unique singer and guitarist who played Country & Western music and classic Rhythm & Blues. Above all, Roy was a loving husband and father. His greatest joy came from being with family and friends as well as his most favorite companion, apricot poodle, Rusty. Roy was a wonderful man; he will be greatly missed. As Roy always said, "I'm doing the best I can." Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Friday, May 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. In lieu of flowers, the Berry family requests that all contributions be sent to the American Heart Association.
