Lee Preston Milburn

Lee Preston Milburn - LEE PRESTON MILBURN Mr. Milburn, a Petaluma resident since 1946, passed away in Petaluma on May 24, 2008, at the age of 82. He was born in Havelock, Nebraska, on September 9, 1925. He is survived by his sisters, Katherine Eakley of Missouri and Janel Guilett of Morgan Mill, Texas. After his move to this area after World War Two, Lee worked at Mare Island for 28 years. A veteran of World War Two, he was an active member of the Purple Heart veterans, V.F.W. Post 1929, American Legion Post #28, Disabled American Veterans Chapter # 117 all of Petaluma. During his time in the service, he received the Purple Heart, Combat Ribbon, Victory Ribbon and Good Conduct Medal. Lee volunteered his services as a bartender at the Veterans Lounge at the Petaluma Veterans Memorial Building for 20 years. He also volunteered at the Petaluma Senior Center for many years. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial for Lee on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Petaluma Veterans Memorial Building, 1094 Petaluma Blvd. So., Petaluma, CA. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1929. The family was assisted by Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory.
