Leona Lucille "Lucy" Burke

LEONA LUCILLE "LUCY" BURKE passed away on July 5, 2013 in Petaluma. Devoted wife of Richard J. "Dick" Burke of Petaluma. Adored mother of Jackie Kobzeff, James True, and Laura Gallagher all of Petaluma. Cherished grandmother of Justin, Joey, Ryan, Randy, Jakup, Deven, and Jordan. Loving sister of Glenna Stone, Alice Ross, Terry Stone, and the late Gerald Stone. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Age: 74 years. Lucy was born in Diamond Springs, CA but reared and educated in Missouri. She worked for many years as retail clerk in Petaluma for JC Penney, Mervyns, Office Helper and the Salvation Army. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending her beautiful garden. She was well known by her many friends in the Petaluma Estates for her lovely flowers. Lucy was a very talented knitter and would make gorgeous afghans. She and Dick also enjoyed traveling in their RV. They also enjoyed fishing together at Eagle Lake, where she would often catch more fish than her husband. At her request, no services will be held.
