Leonard R. Lichtenberger - Passed away on Nov. 28, 2007 in Santa Rosa. Born in Santa Rosa to Fritz and Emelia Lichtenberger. Emelia died when he was 3 months old. He was raised by Eda and Anselmo Baldi, Emeliachr(39)s sister and brother-in-law, and was treated as their son. He attended St. Rose School and graduated from Santa Rosa High School. He worked in the family business, Baldi and Sons, and later at A&B Market until his retirement. He was a WWII Veteran in the Air Force, serving as a mechanic on P-38schr(39) hydraulic and cooling systems and landing gears, and was discharged at the rank of Sergeant. Leonard was a charter member of Rincon Valley Fire Department, serving as a Volunteer Fireman and Assistant Fire Chief, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a charter member of St. Eugene"s and Holy Spirit Parishes, a member of the Rincon Valley Grange and the Santa Rosa Druids. He was surrounded and cared for by his loving wife, Phyllis, married nearly 60 years. Loving father of Diane Greenough, Bill (Adele) Lichtenberger. Grandfather of Cristina Lichtenberger, Vanessa Pritchard, and Gayle Greenough.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy, Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL, 4321 Sonoma Hwy., Santa Rosa, CA (539-2921). A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 7:00 PM at the Mortuary.
