Leota Ruth Fisher

Leota (101), passed away peacefully at home January 11, 2018. Leota is survived by her three children; Joe (Barbara), Bruce (Linda) and Nancy; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert and her granddaughters, Katy and Marya.

Leota was one of Petaluma’s first hospice nurses and served on the PEP Housing Board of Directors for the past 26 years. She loved to play bunko at St. James and going to lunch with her friends. Leota was married to the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Fisher on May 26, 1938. Leota has joined her husband as they dance to “Save the Last Dance for Me”.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm with the Vigil Service held at 7:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. Interment, Cypress Hill Memorial Park.
