Leroy L. Cerini

September 27, 1927 — March 31, 2014

LEROY L. CERINI passed away on March 31, 2014 in Valley Ford.  Devoted husband of Joan P. Cerini of Valley Ford.  Cherished father of Leroy F. Cerini (Dawn) of Rohnert Park and Larry W. Cerini (Linda) of San Bruno.  Beloved grandfather of Andrew Cerini (Katie) and Heather Cerini all of Rohnert Park.  Adored great-grandfather of Ellie and Jake Cerini of Rohnert Park.  Loving brother of Charles Cerini of S. San Francisco and Angie Katen of Petaluma.  Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Age: 86 years.

A Member of: Tomales Grove #83, UAO Druids.

Leroy was born in Petaluma, but reared and educated in Tomales, graduating from Tomales High School.  Following high school, he moved to S. San Francisco where he worked as a butcher for 20 years at Swift & Co., and later for the San Bruno School District for 20 years as a maintenance supervisor.  After his retirement in 1989, he and Joan moved to Valley Ford.

The family wishes to especially thank his Hospice by the Bay caregivers, Jackie, Lisa and Constance, for their exceptional care of Leroy.

Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Friday, April 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Church of the Assumption of Mary, 26825 Shoreline Hwy., Tomales.  A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma.  Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice by the Bay, 17 E. Sir Francis Drake Blvd., Larkspur, CA 94939; Church of the Assumption, P.O. Box 82, Tomales, CA 94971; Tomales Regional History Center, P.O. Box 262, Tomales, CA 94971.  Entombment: Tomales Catholic Cemetery, Tomales.
