Leroy S. Reynolds

Passed away Sunday, March 31, 2013. Born in Sundance, Wyoming, January 15, 1922 to Roy and Alma Reynolds. Graduated from Crook County High School in Sundance, May of 1940, joined the Navy later that year. Proudly served on the USS Idaho in both the Atlantic and Pacific and on the USS Shamrock Bay until the end of the war. Loving husband to Lois Thornhill until her death in 1991. Adored father of three, Renee, Richard and Kathleen. Beloved grandfather to Sarah, Mary, Greg, Margaret, John and Mark; great grandfather to Grace, Camille, Jacob, Jada and Nyah. He met Gladys Cheda in 1995 and the loving companions had many fun and exciting adventures, they traveled the world ultimately visiting all 7 continents. Leroy was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, an enthusiastic dancer, gardener, bridge and poker player, friend of Bill W. Loved by all he met in life. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Family and friends are also invited to attend the Funeral Liturgy, Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm at PARENT-SORENSEN. Private interment, Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. The family prefer memorials be made to St. Vincent Schools, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or to the Salvation Army, 721 S. McDowell Blvd., Petaluma, CA 94954.
