Leslie "Skip" Offutt Jr.

Leslie, “Skip” passed quietly at home on February 3, 2023, with loving caregivers at his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, Les Offutt and Dorothy Amaral-Offutt. Skip is survived by his fur-babies, Rex and Buddy, cousins Susan Mullaly of Santa Rosa, CA, James and Lana Amaral-Hanney of Woodland, CA, Karen and John Amaral-Dougherty of Leland, North Carolina and Peggy Amaral-LaVallee of North Battleford, Sask, Canada.

Skip’s passion was baseball. In the days when Rancho Cotati Little League had games at Cater Field in Cotati, he would rarely miss a game and always enjoyed a Hot Dog. He loved being included in the Cotati Kid’s Day Parade with the teams. He would watch the games on TV, but with the help of family and friends he attended several San Francisco Giants games. He knew all the players, coaches and statistics at any given time in a season.

Skip was proud that he lived many years on “the ranch” in Healdsburg, where he helped with the different animals. He rode horses and always had a dog at his side.

Skip will be greatly missed by his Cotati friends and neighbors. A celebration of his life will be held later in the month. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Animal Rescue or the Animal Service Organization of your choice.
