Lillian Elfman Gilbert

Lillian Elfman Gilbert - Born in Chicago, IL on January 6, 1909; passed away in Petaluma, CA on March 21, 2009. In 1931, she married Irving Harris in Chicago, but they later divorced. Lillian married Benjamin Gilbert in 1949 in Los Angeles. She is survived by 2 sons, Mark Damon of Los Angeles and Robert S. Gilbert, DDS of Petaluma; daughters-in-law Margaret Damon and Anne Gilbert; grandchildren Jonathan Damon, Alexis Damon, Shaleah (Gilbert) Nelson and husband Scott, Harmony (Gilbert) Elie and husband Patrick; great-grandchildren Skyler and Benjamin Nelson and Zane Elie. Lillian was the oldest of 5 and is survived by her sister Muriel Elfman and numerous nieces and nephews. Lillian was a lifelong supporter of Israel and an active member of Haddassah and Technion while living in Los Angeles. She enjoyed traveling and made more than 15 trips to Israel during her lifetime.
