LILLIAN RAPOSO
On November 18, 2016, our loving Mom, Lillian (Lil) Raposo, passed away peacefully at home, she was 80 years old. She is now with the love of her life, her husband Alberico (Al) Raposo. Our Dad passed away January 20, 1982. Lillian and Al were married October 18, 1953.
Lil was born in Hayward California, to parents Fred and Helen Perry. Lil and Al moved to Penngrove in 1960. Lil co-owned Morgan Manufacturing Inc. in Petaluma for 32 years with her close friend and business partner Carl "Butch" Palmgren. She adored her employees and took great pride in their "Made in the USA" products. Lil enjoyed gardening and traveling with her family. Her passion was hosting family reunions and holiday parties. She was proud of her Portuguese heritage and enjoyed sharing her cultural traditions with family and friends. Obrigada por tudo Mom.
Lil is predeceased by her sister Constance Souza, her Aunt's and Uncle's Margaret & Joe Vieria, and Lorraine & Frank Rogers, her great-niece Laura O'Donnell and her nephew's Jason Garcia and Ronald Souza Jr.
She will be deeply missed by her best friends, sister Loretta Garcia and brother-in-law James Garcia; her sister's Eleanor Ducharme (Chuck) and Caroline Hall; her children Roy Raposo (Diane), Pauline Machado (Paul), Mary Kinney (Bill) and Margie Raposo; grandchildren Tony Raposo (Candice), Al Raposo (Tina), RJ Raposo, Blake Raphael, Ross Raphael, Karlee Machado (Josif), PJ Machado, Jeremy Soiland (Jodi), Jessica Soiland (Jose) and Jenna Soiland (Sal); great grandchildren Adriana, Raquel, Dominic, Camila, Mateo, Ryder, Aiden and Elliott (due February); her nieces, nephews and many friends.
Whenever one of us would say I love you to Mom she would always say "I loved you first." Without a doubt that will be her legacy, always putting her family first.
We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to our friends Jaynie and LT Holmes, Dr. Maury Shulkin at Kaiser, Gigi Cappelletty RN, Nancy, Patty and the entire staff at Hospice by the Bay, who took such loving care of our mother.
We are honoring Mom's wish to not have a service. Mom said that she never liked attending funerals, therefore she refused to attend her own. We ask you to hold her close to your hearts and keep her in your prayers. Donations to Hospice by the Bay 190 West Napa Street, Sonoma CA 95476 would be greatly appreciated.
