Lillie Mae Richardson passed away in Santa Rosa on July 27, 2021. Preceded in death by husband, Leroy Richardson, and daughter Linda Richardson. Loving mother of Allen Hart (Pam), Rosie Brown, Anthony Richardson (Reina), Larry Richardson (Zoe), Charles Richardson, Yvette Bidegain Kobus (Tim), Annette Richardson, and Janice Chaney Fischer (Craig). Proud loving grandmother to numerous great and great grandchildren. Lillie was born in Boligee, Alabama on July 11, 1931, and moved to Sonoma County in 1958. Lillie and Leroy were entrepreneurs and were lifetime business owners and operators for many businesses in Sonoma County. They were most famous for Richardson’s Ribs BBQ at the Sonoma County Fair and their restaurants located in Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. Lillie had a lifelong compassion to care for the elderly and mentally ill. About 1965, Lillie acquired Graton Manor home care facility in the town of Graton. Lillie has housed, fed, clothed, taxied and provided care to hundreds of seniors and mentally ill clients that would have been living on the streets. Lillie was a mover and a shaker! Always on the go. When she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, she just kept going, doing, and living until she could no longer fight the battle. Lillie was a young 90 years of age when cancer took her life.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 12, 2021 a t11:00 AM at Pleasant Hills Memorial Park and Mortuary, 1700 Pleasant Hill Road, Sebastopol, with interment following.
