Linda J. Benville

Our beloved mother Linda J. Benville sadly passed away on February 25, 2024, at the age of 81. Thankfully, she was able to complete her life at the home she designed in Petaluma.

Linda did many things professionally. She was a teacher, real estate agent, tour guide, activities director, hostess, and lobby greeter. She considered herself a vagabond as she loved to travel and was fortunate to live in many states including Washington, Wisconsin, California, Hawaii, Missouri and Florida. She finally settled down in The Villages, Florida after falling in love with the community, weather and her home on the lake. She was loved by many. Her bright demeanor lit up the room. Her cheerful, positive, encouraging attitude and beautiful smile will be missed.

She was predeceased by Orene Trent (mother) and Lyle Trent (father). Linda is survived by Gia Pettibone (daughter), Jeni Benville (daughter), Donna Wahl (sister), Wanda Burgeson (sister), Andrew Washington (grandson), Asher Pettibone (grandson), Jacob Krauss (grandson) and Missy, her sweet dog.

There will not be a memorial or funeral service held. Rather, to honor Linda’s memory, we are holding a Celebration of Life in California, Florida and Washington.
