Linda Millsap, 83, of Petaluma peacefully passed on May 31, 2024, surrounded by her loving family in her home after her courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 17, 1941, in Westwood, California, Linda was the beloved daughter of the late Claude Pollard and Emily Pollard. She was the youngest of three, with older brothers Everett and James Pollard. Linda grew up in Shasta County where she met her husband Jerome Millsap. Linda and Jerome were high school sweethearts who married in 1962. The two moved down to the Bay Area where Linda attended the College of Marin and became a Registered Nurse in the late 60s. She started her nursing career at Petaluma General Hospital then Petaluma Valley Hospital and then before her retirement she did homecare for patients. Linda was a devoted mother to Elise(Michael), Keith(Michelle), and Craig(Jessica), and a loving grandmother to Makenzy, Nicole, Bryon, and Brandon. Linda was not only devoted to her family but also to her friends. Linda hosted dinners, and parties, organized social events, and ensured everyone was included. She was also very involved with the church where she won Woman of the Year representing the St. James Catholic Church Woman’s Group. She loved Bodega Bay and the Tides Restaurant and John Grisham novels. She always won “Jeopardy” and “Wheel of Fortune.” And always completed the newspaper’s crossword puzzle. She was a fantastic cook and baker who made sure everyone had a plate of sweet treats around the holidays. Linda is remembered for so many things and her memory will continue to live on through stories, photos, and all who were blessed to have met Linda. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution to Hospice of Petaluma. Funeral mass will be held at St. James Church on Thursday, June 13 at 11 am.
REMEMBER ME
Remember me with laughter, not with sorrow or with tears, Remember all the ways God has blessed me through the years. Remember me with smiles and think of things we've done, Remember me with fondness at daybreak or setting sun. Remember how you loved me and how I loved you, too. Remember me forever, for I will be with you.
