Linda Elizabeth Zimmerman

February 3, 1952 — October 22, 2014

LINDA ZIMMERMAN passed away peacefully at the age of 62 on October 22nd in her Santa Rosa home after a courageous, year long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the cherished daughter of Mervyn and Mary Zimmerman. Loving sister to Terry and Bill (Sharon) Zimmerman. Adored, caring mother to Audra (Tony) Cavallero, Trevor (Sierra) Antognini and Jered (Kendell) Antognini. Devoted grandmother to Travis & Juliana Cavallero and Parker & Abigail Antognini. She will be missed by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She grew up and helped tend the family dairy in Marshall and went to school in Tomales. She married and raised her family in Santa Rosa. She finished her education, achieving her AA degree. She devoted 25 years to the school her children attended, Piner-Olivet, and retired in 2012. In retirement she pursued a new found passion in wedding planning. She loved life, her family and friends. She was very proud of her home, garden and always ready to host a family gathering. She was selfless with her time, love and always ready to help out a friend in need. She loved her family unconditionally and, at times, with fierce determination. She has had a tenacious work ethic throughout her life. She was a founding member of the BBB's, a group of dedicated friends over the last 32 years. She loved to dance and was a proud member of the Redwood Empire Cloggers. She was an avid traveler and was always ready to take a ride to the beach. She enjoyed music and liked to tell everyone the story of how she kissed Elvis. Services will be held on Saturday, November 1st at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. The viewing will be at 10:00 am, the service will start at 12:00 pm. Private Interment. A celebration of her life will follow.
