Linden Elizabeth Crossman

Linden Elizabeth Crossman passed away on September 2, 2024 at the age of 87. She was a loving mother, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother who brought joy & warmth to everyone around her.

Linden was born on August 6, 1937 in Petaluma, Ca., to Dr. Earnest & Jessie Brydone-Jack.  She was raised alongside her three siblings: Earnest III, Robin and Laurel.  She was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul Church her entire life.  After graduating St. Vincent De Paul High School, she attended Beauty School and opened a salon soon after.  Eventually, she transitioned her career to bookkeeping, which she did until her retirement in 1999.

With her first husband Charles Voisin she had two children, Charles Jr. and Andrea. After a divorce, she remarried to Norton Crossman, who passed away in 1990.  She leaves behind a family legacy of 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and too many nieces and nephews to count.

Linden’s relationship with God was her great passion.  Upon retiring, she spent 25 years in ministry.  She co-founded a holy order - Brides of the Most Blessed Trinity - whose mission to pray for priests spread throughout the world and continues to this day.

You would often find Linden sneaking off to the beach, alone or with loved ones in tow, repeatedly slowing down the car to gasp at the beauty of every single wildflower along the road. To her, the ocean was the grandest place of natural peace and serenity on this earth.

Her giddy laugh was infectious and she showered loving care on every person she met - whether the grocery store cashier or the nurses in charge of her care. Her love impacted many and she is dearly missed.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at St Vincent de Paul Catholic Church at 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA.  Mass will start at 11:00 a.m., followed by a burial service at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Magnolia Avenue in Petaluma.

For those who wish to join, there will also be a visitation on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Parent-Sorensen Mortuary in Petaluma, from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.  We will say a Rosary in her honor at 6:00 p.m.
