Loris Martyn Scott

Loris Martyn Scott passed away on August 6th, 2021 on his 90th birthday. He was born in Santa Rosa CA to Charles & Louise (Morelli) Scott Hogan. Loris grew up in Penngrove Ca and graduated from Petaluma High School in 1949. After high school, Loris entered the US Air Force and served in the Korean War. On his return, He worked as a civilian at Hamilton Air Force base where he met his future wife, Bernice Beck. They married on November 17th, 1956 and were happily married for 56 years, until Bernice’s passing in 2012.

Loris worked for USPS for nearly 30 years. He loved sports and was a lifelong SF 49ers and NY Yankees fan. He also coached in the Petaluma Girls Softball Association for many years. Loris and Bernice also enjoyed going on numerous cruises.

Loris is survived by his daughters, Doreen (Tim) O’Kelly and Linda (Doug) Haught, his 4 grandsons, Sean, Justin, Nicholas and Marcus, his loving brother Ronald Scott, and numerous nieces and nephews.
