Lorraine Elma Arata - ARATA, LORRAINE ELMA" Entered into rest peacefully at home in Santa Rosa, CA on December 9, 2010 from Alzheimers Disease. Dearly beloved sixty-seven year wife of Dr. Dale A. Arata. Loving mother of Jim (Diane) Arata of Castella, CA, Michael (Diane) Arata of Truckee, CA, Tom (Cathy) Arata of Sonoma, CA, and Mary (Frank) Flores of Redding, CA. Adored grandmother of ten and cherished great grandmother of eight. A native of St. Paul, MN, age 88 years. Lorraine moved to San Leandro as a child and graduated from San Leandro High School (Class of 1940). She later met and fell in love with Dale, marrying in 1943. She loved to sew, play golf and shop. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and outstanding cook. She has enjoyed living in the Oakmont Community since 1994, where she was a member of Star of the Valley Catholic Church.
