Passed away peacefully on Jan. 9, 2017 in Petaluma, CA. Born to Christian and Anna Mickelsen on Jan. 27, 1923 in San Francisco, CA. Loving wife of the late Joseph M. Monks Jr. Beloved mother of Ray (Clareen) Monks, Carolyn (Terry) Wall, Steven (Molly) Monks, Christine (Russ) Berkheimer and Joseph (Yukiko) Monks. Loving grandmother of 11 and Great grandmother of 12. Caring sister of Ron Mickelsen and the late Evelyn Long. Precious aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Wed. Jan. 18th at Resurrection Parish, 303 Stony Point Rd., Santa Rosa, CA.  Donations may be made to Hospice of Petaluma.
