RICCI, LOUIS L. "Louie" - Entered into rest peacefully in Santa Rosa, CA on December 14, 2014 following a short illness. Dearly beloved sixty-nine year husband of the late Claudia (Gonnella) Ricci. Loving father of Jacqueline (Richard) Tucker and Sharon (Fred) Neidlinger. Adored grandfather of Rodney Scinto, Rebecca Langer, Renee Brown, Darrin Neidlinger, Lisa Claar, Gina Pimentel and Rick Tucker. Cherished great grandfather of eleven. Also survived by his sister; Nilda Mulas of Sonoma, CA, Sister-In-Laws; Daria Calvi of Occidental, CA, and June Rossini of Santa Rosa, CA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Oakland, CA and lifelong Santa Rosa resident, age 97 years. Louie is also preceded in death by his parents; Sam and Clara (Prelli) Ricci, his brothers; Albert, Isadore and Dante Ricci and one sister; Josephine Pryor. Louie was reared in Bodega Bay and graduated from Tomales High School. He was the Proprietor and Auctioneer of Santa Rosa Livestock for over sixty-five years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Sonoma County Trailblazer's, the California Cattlemen Association and Native Son's of the Golden West. Louie's "Greatest Pride deep down within his heart", was the day he was asked by Chris Beck to start the Junior Livestock Auctioneering at the Sonoma County Fair. Louie loved his vegetable garden and gardening in general, auctioneering for many organizations and Bar-B-Qing for many years for any organization that asked. Private Family Services with entombment at the Star of the Valley Mausoleum will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions are preferred by the family to the Sonoma County Fair Foundation (1350 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, CA, 95404), the 4-H Foundation of Sonoma County (P.O. Box 1283, Rohnert Park, CA, 94927) or to a local Future Farmer's of America Chapter of the donor's choice.
