Lucille Junker of Redding, CA, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 17, 2014. She was 87 years old. She was born Juanita Lucille Massey in Oklahoma on August 1, 1926 to Joseph and Opal Massey. She moved to Napa where she graduated from Napa High School and attended Napa Community College. She resided in Napa while she was employed at Berglund Tractor Company. She married Robert Junker on March 3, 1955 and they lived in San Francisco before moving to Petaluma. She worked for many years as a bookkeeper for Boulevard Bowl from where she retired.
"Lu" was a loyal friend to many. She enjoyed bowling and was involved in many leagues and organizations through the years. She was a member of the Moose and Elks Lodges. She and "Bob" moved to Redding in 1992 where they enjoyed time with grandkids and "RVing".
Lucille was devoted to her family. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert and brother Marvin. She is survived by daughter Kimberly (Craig) Nunn; grandson Kyle Nunn and granddaughter Kayla Nunn; niece Patricia Norton; nephews Mike Spencer and Kirk (Diane) Massey; and many "great" nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Parent- Sorensen Mortuary and Crematory, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma, from 11:00am to 12:45pm, followed by a graveside service at 1:00pm at the Cypress Hill Memorial Park, 430 Magnolia Avenue, Petaluma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
