Lura Marcene Hildebrant

December 27, 1925 — March 1, 2016

Lura Marcene Hildebrant died on March 1, 2016 in Petaluma California, a place she called her home for the past forty-seven years. She was born in Canyon Texas on December 27, 1925 to William Marcellus Wilson & Lura Oliver Wilson, the first of six children. Marcene married her husband Hal Hildebrant in 1959 and continued her career as a Register Nurse until starting a family. She lived in San Francisco California, moving to Novato, California in 1962. In 1969 they moved further North to Petaluma, California. Marcene enjoyed summer travel trips to South Lake Tahoe with Hal, where they would hike, paint, and simply enjoy time with each other, their kids, and grandkids. She was active in her church, Petaluma Valley Baptist Church until her health prevented her from attending on a regular basis. Marcene is survived by her husband Hal, sons Ron, Carl and his wife Karen, Glenn and his wife Melanie, and her daughter, Diane Phillips and her husband Jerry. Grandchildren include her granddaughters Rebecca Hildebrant , Angela Hildebrant, and grandsons Daniel Hildebrant and David Phillips, sister Lola Mae, and brothers Tommy and John, many nieces, nephews and friends across the country. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Robert and William Wilson. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday March 26, 2016, at Petaluma Valley Baptist Church, 580 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma CA. All are welcome. Celebration of Life
