Lydia Noah

April 22, 1917 — September 18, 2009

Lydia Noah - Lydia passed away on Friday morning, surrounded by her loving family, after surviving nearly three months with a ruptured aortic aneurysm. Her love, faith and general fortitude kept her going long after the doctors presumed she could not, even at age 92. Her bravery is an inspiration to her family and friends, who include her son, Oren Noah, daughter-in-law Patricia, and grandchildren Harrison and Mariah. Her husband of nearly 50 years, LaFayette Noah, had gone before her in December 2005. She is also survived by two sisters, Tina Reed and Johanna Briggs, and a brother, Laurence Dekker, all of the State of Washington. She will long be remembered for her good cheer and as a generous hostess, whipping out gourmet meals for family and friends and especially for her signature toffee bars and crepes. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY, 301 South Main St., Sebastopol, 829-5433.
