Madeline Frances Barndt - BARNDT, MADELINE FRANCES" Entered into rest, December 31, 2008, in Santa Rosa, CA. Dearly beloved mother of Bonnie (Doug) Bundesen and Larry (Cathy) Barndt. Loving grandmother of Julie Mix, Kristin and Ashley Barndt. Cherished great grandmother of Morgan, Sam and Nate Mix. Also survived by one niece; Bette Ann Holcomb. Madeline was a true and devoted friend of Ann Rich, Adelaide Preston and many others. A native and lifelong resident of Santa Rosa, CA, age 89 years. Madeline is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Raymond Brandt and one sister; Marion Andreen. Madeline is a graduate of the Santa Rosa High School Class of 1938, and attended Santa Rosa Business College. During World War II, she worked at Hamilton Air Force Base for Civil Defense. She was employed by the State of California beginning at the Alcohol Beverage Control Board and retired from the Board of Equalization in 1984. Madeline was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and the Young Ladies Institute. She was a avid volunteer with Santa Rosa Memorial Hospice until 2006.
