Mae Paulsen

Mae Paulsen - Mae passed away on May 10, 2007 after many years of living with Alzheimerâ??s Disease. Born in Tacoma, Washington on Motherâ??s Day, May 12th, to Ed and Edna Paulsen, she was the 5th of 6 children. Predeceased by her sister Marie Triplett and brother Earl Paulsen, her remaining siblings, Stan Hansen, Paul Paulsen and Olga Olson, as well as several nieces and nephews, still living in the Tacoma area. After living in Fairbanks, Alaska for many years, Mae has resided in California since 1960, mostly in Novato where she raised her 3 daughters. For the past several years she has called Petaluma home. She was preceded in death by husbands Don Purse and Robert Gaines and is survived by her 3 daughters, Carolyn Ford Compton (Darryl), Donna Lowery (Jim), and Denise Ruzsicska (John). She leaves a loving legacy of 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Our thanks and gratitude for the loving care she received from the wonderful caretakers at Petaluma Peopleâ??s Service Center and Petaluma Hospice. We invite you to join us in a joyous celebration of Maeâ??s life on May 18, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at the Parent-Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma. Donations may be made to the Petaluma Peopleâ??s Service Center, Hospice of Petaluma or the Alzheimerâ??s Association.
