Marc Mott - Marc Mott passed away at the age of 86 on Oct. 17, surrounded by family. Marc was a special agent for the Internal Revenue Service for 35 years, serving most of his career in San Francisco.
Marc also was an avid flyer, and a member of the Silverado Soaring Club. Marc is survived by Rita, his loving wife of 57 years, and daughters Melanie Dixon (Melvin) of Livermore and Bonnie Mott of Mountain View, and granddaughter Stephanie Birdwell of Flagstaff, AZ. He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Mott (Alice) of Lincoln, and his sister, Mary Slonaker of Scottsdale, AZ.
Marc was honored at a private memorial on Oct. 26.
Marc's family encourages you to help a veteran in Marc's honor. Born in Southern California, Marc grew up in Santa Rosa and was a lifetime resident of the Bay Area. Here he raised two daughters and helped to raise his granddaughter. Marc was a veteran of World War II, where he proudly served his country in the South Pacific Theater. He made a special trip to Normandy in 1997 to pay tribute to his brave comrades who served on the USS Leutze.
