MARCILLE MASAKO TABATA passed away peacefully in Santa Rosa, December 31, 2014, from complications of a lifelong heart problem, age 92. Born Marcille Masako Okazaki, June 30, 1922, in Cotati, Marcie maintained her beautiful smile, positive spirit, perseverance and concern for others throughout her last days.
She is survived by her loving nieces, Sharon Noguchi (Mark Joerger) and Family and Joanne Okazaki, and sister-in-law, Harue Okazaki. She was the devoted wife of the late Harry Tabata and Tom Yasuda, loving sister of the late Mary Noguchi, Mabel Okazaki, John Okazaki and two infant brothers.
Raised and educated in Cotati, Marcie was relocated with her family to Amache, Colorado, during World War II. Tom Yasuda and Marcie married in 1947 and operated a poultry ranch in Santa Rosa until Tom passed in 1961. She eventually sold the ranch, studied at Empire College and became employed at State Farm in Santa Rosa from 1963 until she married Harry Tabata of Yuba City in 1980.
After Harry passed, Marcie moved back to Santa Rosa to be closer to her nieces. At Emeritus Santa Rosa she enjoyed bingo, dining with friends, flower arranging, baking and making handicrafts for her family.
Friends and family are invited to attend Memorial Services, Saturday,
February, 21, 2015, at 3:00 p.m., at Enmanji Buddhist Temple, 1200
Gravenstein Hwy., South, Sebastopol, CA 95472. Contributions may be
