Margot was born and reared in Lilly, PA. An aspiring actress, she attended the Actors Studio in the New School for Social Research in New York City, being the first woman to ever receive a full scholarship. She was also granted a scholarship to Radcliffe College, which is affiliated with Harvard. Wanting to continue in her acting career, Margot trained with and was often directed by Piscater. She traveled all across America, from New York to California and even to Mexico pursuing her acting call, performing mostly in Shakespeare and in Greek theatrical dramas. However, Margotâ??s crowning achievement came when she played the lead character of Mary Tyrone in â??A Long Dayâ??s Journey into Night.â?
