Maria Teresa De Fraga Andrade Silveira

Maria Teresa de Fraga Andrade Silveira born March 22, 1938 and died July 29, 2013. Our mother's life was one lived in the service of others, and her greatest gift was the ability to see the beauty in all people and love without judgment. In this way she touched many lives and was loved dearly by those who knew her. Her loving presence in the world was an example of a life well lived. She was especially loved by our father, who stood by her and tended to her needs over the last five years when she required full-time care. His devotion and their love are a legacy of all that is good and true. In her life as well as in death she was surrounded by those who loved her. She is predeceased by her mother, Maria do Carmo Andrade, her father, Antonio Andrade, and many others whom she loved. She is survived by her devoted husband, Frank Silveira, her sisters, Carmo, Lucy, Agnes and Fatima, her children, Anna, Frank, Rosa, David, Anthony and Amy, as well as her in laws, Dawn, Tony, Jennifer, Kathryn and Connie. Of course, her pride and joy were her grandchildren, Derrick, Drew, Alex, Michael, Clark, Frank, Anna, Katherine, Nicholas, Lillian, Teresa, Jamie and Anthony. We would also like to acknowledge Va Kacunisawana, Traci Kelley and Erika Keaton for their loving, compassionate care of our mother, as well as our parents' faithful Eucharistic minister, Mary Anne Kurm. Friends and family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Monday, August 5, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA 94952. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM with a Vigil Service at 5:30 PM at the PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or St. Vincent Church Interior Project. A Reception will follow the Funeral Mass. Private Inurnment.
