Maria Felice Rolando

Maria was born in San Francisco on September 23, 1963 and passed away at home in Petaluma on December 19, 2023. She was the oldest of three children born to Felix and Yolanda Rolando.

Maria attended Valley Vista Elementary, and graduated from El Colegio where she won the basketball shooting contest with a perfect 30 baskets in a row.

She competed in the Special Olympics, where she was awarded medals in the 50yd dash, and long jump.  Maria also traveled all over the state competing in bowling tournaments.

In addition to basketball and bowling, Maria also enjoyed dancing, camping, and hiking at Helen Putnam with her sister. She loved Kenny Rogers and the San Francisco 49ers. She was a devout Catholic and lifetime member of St. James Parish.

Maria greeted everyone with a smile and joy in her heart, and she will be missed by family, neighbors, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on January 3rd at 10:00 a.m. at St. James church in Petaluma. Viewing is on January 2, from 1-5 at Parent Sorensen Mortuary, 850 Magnolia Street, Petaluma, California
