Marie Ludmila Holubar

Passed away at her Petaluma home on October 13, 2013 at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Frank Holubar. Loving mother of Eva (George) Fulvio of Belmont, CA and Alena (Terry) Kosewic of Petaluma. Dear grandmother of Alana Fulvio-Bigley and Adrienne Kosewicz, and great grandmother of Erin, Ruby and Iris. Marie was born in Czechoslovakia and married Frank. She and family fled Russian occupation in 1948 arriving in San Francisco in 1950. She worked in food service at USF and moved to Petaluma in 1982, retired in 1985. Suffered a stroke 1992 which left her wheelchair bound. Lived for her family, garden, and sending care packages to her Czech Family. A devout parishioner of St Vincent, member of Women's Aux, and very active member of PPSC Senior Center. A Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct.20, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil at 6:00 p.m. at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma. Burial: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the PPSC-Senior Center, 25 Howard St., Petaluma, CA 94952 in her memory.
