Marie Daria (Nardulli) Moretti

Marie Daria, (Nardulli) Moretti, age 88, went to be with the Lord on April, 1, 2024, with her loved ones around her. She courageously battled cancer since the age of 25, and never let it deter her bright spirit and love of life.

She was born in Chicago Il. On March 13, 1936. She graduated from Notre Dame High in Chicago and then attended St Annes school of nursing to become an RN. After 2 years of working as an RN, Marie took a round trip cruise on a maiden voyage on the SS Rotterdam to Europe with 3 of her friends, which lasted 2 months. When they returned, they worked for a year, got the wonder lust, and decided to move to San Francisco with 3 other girls. March 17, 1962, she married the love of her life Jim, where they soon settled down in in their home in Petaluma, raising 3 daughters. She was a devout Catholic and longtime member of St. James Catholic Church. She had a love of family, cooking, gardening, adored her friends, and exercising her sense of humor, with her contagious laugh.

Marie was preceded in death by Ettore Nardulli, Daria (Dorothy) Nardulli (Lucarini), her brother Ettore (Sonny) Nardulli, and her husband Jim (James) Moretti. She is survived by her daughters Karen, Dana, Noreen, son in laws Nic and Kurt. Her beloved grandchildren Jimmy, Emma, Casey (Thea), great granddaughter Chloe.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude. All are welcome to attend the mass, celebration of life, Thursday, April 11 at 11am, St. James church, followed by the reception at the Elks Lodge.
