Marie M. Orsolini (Nee) Astorino)

March 1, 1925 — February 23, 2018

Entered into rest at Healdsburg Senior Living Community, in Healdsburg, CA following a long illness, on February 23, 2018. Dearly beloved wife of the late August "Gus" Orsolini. Beloved Mother of Mario L. (Pam) Orsolini of Cloverdale, CA. Adored Grandmother of: Valerie K. (Rick) Orsolini-Rhodes of Cloverdale, CA and Mario A. Orsolini of Sacramento, CA. Cherished Great Grandmother of: Aiden Orsolini-Rhodes, Grace Orsolini-Rhodes and Shelby Rhodes, all of Cloverdale, CA and Payton Rhodes of Valley Center, KS. Also survived by her beloved sister's; Gracie Laudari and Fran Bolduc, both of Santa Rosa, CA, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Santa Rosa, CA, age 92 years. Marie is preceeded in death by her late husband, mother Ann Brown, father Vincent Astorino, three brothers and one sister.

Born and raised in Santa Rosa, she met the love of her life when they were both attending the "original" Piner Elementary School, which now houses a church. Their families lived close together at Guerneville and Fulton Roads. They were childhood sweethearts who eloped to Reno, NV, and were married August 22, 1943, spending seventy-one wonderful years together.

Marie grew up with a strong work ethic. She worked at her parents' family owned business named "The Village". Marie was a stay-at-home loving mom and wife, she pitched in over the years doing work such as hay bailing and prune picking and worked as a clerk at Ranchaway Market in Santa Rosa. When the family moved to South Lake Tahoe in 1959, she worked as a clerk for Ink's Brothers and Raley's Grocery Stores. She retired in 1972 after returning to Santa Rosa.

Marie and Gus worked hard all of their lives to take care of their family and after retirement enjoyed fishing and camping at Lake Berryessa joining the "Berryessa Bums" , a group of retirees, normally staying for two to three months at a time.

Marie's family would like to thank "all the staff" at Healdsburg Senior Living Community for the wonderful care and love that both she and her family received for the last three and a half years. Her family will always be indebted to "all of you" for the "LOVE" and support you gave both her and her family during her last days. Love to all of you!

Salute! To a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, Nona, sister, sister-in-law, relative and friend. We love you, until we meet again...
