Mark Jakob "Jake" Nelson, Jr.

Mark Jakob Nelson, Jr. (family name “Jake”), age 30, passed away on Monday, March 22 in Santa Rosa, CA. He was born on September 25, 1990, to Mark Nelson and Diana Nealeigh-Hughes, in Santa Rosa, CA.

Jake was bright and charismatic, loved his family, animals and the outdoors. He enjoyed horseback riding, wakeboarding and golfing with his family, and was part of a competitive inline skating team out of Cal Skate of Rohnert Park.

In addition to his parents, Jake is survived by his sisters Ashley Paula-Legge and Nicole Goodwill, grandparents William and Genia Nealeigh, Helen “Penny” Nealeigh, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded by grandparents Betty Jane and Harry William Nelson, Junior, and Jack Keeney.

A private visitation and memorial will take place on Saturday, March 27 in Sonoma County.
