Mary B. Isabelle "Marybell" Cunha

CUNHA, MARY B. ISABELLE “Marybell” - Passed away on April 2, 2014 in Santa Rosa, CA at the age of 79, where she was lovingly cared for by her family. Born the oldest of six in Ripon, CA, she is survived by her husband Anthony J. Cunha, children; Cynthia (James) Naye, Lorinda (Roy) Cunha, Dino Cunha, Antoni Cunha (Peter) and Granddaughters; Carly, Marissa and Tessa Cunha. She was an award winning beautician who was a very creative, energetic and happy homemaker who was generous with her many talents which included cooking, sewing, knitting and gardening. When she wasn’t traveling, and happily whistling in her beautiful garden, she was very active volunteering in the Portuguese Petaluma Holy Ghost Society. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. The family wishes to especially thank Hospice by the Bay Caregivers for their wonderful care.

Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at the Cathedral of St. Eugene’s (Corner of Farmer’s Lane and Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, CA, 95405). Entombment will follow at St. Theresa Mausoleum at Calvary Catholic Cemetery (2930 Bennett Valley Road, Santa Rosa, CA, 95404). LAFFERTY & SMITH COLONIAL CHAPEL (4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA, 95409) will provide visitation hours in the Fireside Room on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions in Marybell’s memory be sent to Hospice by the Bay (190 W. Napa St. Sonoma, CA 95476).
