Passed away February 6, 2014 in Petaluma, CA at age 71, she was the beloved mother of Christine (John) Walker of Petaluma. Adored grandmother of Jackson Walker and Joseph Walker both of Petaluma. She was predeceased by her parents George F. Walsh and Dora Louise (Galbiati) Walsh of Vineland, NJ. Mary Ann was one of six children and was the loving sister of George Walsh of Lincoln City, OR, Robert Walsh of Missoula, MT, Kevin (Janet) Walsh of Vineland, NJ, Charlene Kane of Boulder, CO and Brian Walsh of Lincoln City, OR. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary Ann had a special bond with her two grandsons with whom she spent a great deal of time sharing her love of life and pursuing various special interests and activities.
She was born in Philadelphia, PA. and raised in Vineland NJ graduating from Sacred Heart High School there. She also graduated from the Villanova University School of Nursing in Pennsylvania and worked in the medical field in many capacities in several states. A Petaluma resident for the past ten years, Mary Ann was a woman of many talents and will be remembered by her family for her love of art, gardening, and cooking. Mary Ann was a talented and respected artist and painter and could transform everyday objects into fascinating works of art. She will be remembered by all as one who brought out the best in life through her knowledge, skills, and many talents and dedicated herself to creating wholesome and fulfilling lives for her family members.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass, Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Noon at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 35 Liberty St., Petaluma, CA. The family prefer memorials be made to St. Vincent de Paul High School, 849 Keokuk St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or to the American Red Cross, 5297 Aero Dr., Santa Rosa, CA 95403.
