Mary L. (Ramacciotti) Regalai passed away peacefully surrounded be her family on November 6th at the age of 92 in St Joseph's Petaluma hospital.
Born on February 27,1923 in the Petaluma family home on East D Street, she along with her two older brothers, Elio and Henry were raised by Narchismo and Fidalma Ramacciotti in Petaluma during the Great Depression. Upon graduation from PHS, she attended Heald's College and later went to work at the Petaluma Oil and Burner Company and Bank of America. She was introduced to her future husband Dominic Regalia of San Rafael through her brother, Henry. The couple married at St Vincent's Church after Dominic had briefly returned from the Second World War from overseas. After Dom's discharge from the Navy, the couple settled in San Rafael and proceeded to raise their family. They remained blissfully together through their 52th wedding anniversary to see their grown children, and grandchildren thrive until Dom passed to the Lord in 1997. Mary, continued to be blessed by witnessing the growth of her three great grand children until her passing. She was a very talented lady with an infectious smile and personality. She was always on the go. She was a talented bookkeeper and seamstress. Loved sports, particularly baseball. She was a fabulous cook of Italian recipes from family ancestry in Tuscany and Lombard regions. Mary is survived by her son and daughter in law Ken and Katie Regalia, her daughter, Donna Nardi and husband Chris Nardi and four grandchildren, Gina Regalia, Robert Regalia, Elizabeth and Christina Nardi and three great grand children, Sienna and Logan Houston and Giovanni Regalia.
Friends and family are invited to attend the Vigil Serviced at Parent- Sorensen Mortuary & Crematory, 850 Keokuk Street, Petaluma on Wednesday, November 11th at 7:00 pm followed by a Mass on Thursday, November 12 at St James Catholic Church in Petaluma. Entombment at Mt Olivet Cemetery in San Rafael. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Petaluma.
