Mary Elu Reichmuth - Mary Reichmuth passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Petaluma. Loving wife of the late Louis Reichmuth. She is survived by her son; Robert Reichmuth and his wife Margaret; grandsons, David (Tracy), J J (Monica), Michael (Swati), and Christopher, as well as 4 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Joe Elu, Michaela Hosto, and Lawrence Elu. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends are invited to a Funeral Mass on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, CA 94954. Webster St., Petaluma, CA 94952 or Hospice of Petaluma, 416 Payran St., Petaluma, CA 94952. Private Inurnment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Petaluma. A lifelong resident of Petaluma. During the mid 1930s, she was a member of the Native Daughters of the Golden West Drill Team and recalled parading across the Golden Gate Bridge on its opening day. In 1947 she married Louis Reichmuth, enjoying years of mutual love and devotion until his passing in 1992. Besides being a homemaker, Mary was a doting grandma, accomplished painter and avid gardener. Every spring she awaited the blooming of her favorite red tulips.
