Mary Cecilia Shepard

Mary Cecilia Shepard - Mary Cecilia Shepard died at her Santa Rosa residence on Monday, April 12, 2010 at age 86. "Ceci" was born December 5, 1923. She attended George Washington University where she met her husband, Stanley Lewis Shepard. They were married on March 24, 1945. In the early 1950chr(39)s, Stan and Ceci moved their family to the West Coast. They made their family home in Atherton, Ca., where they raised their four children. Ceci was a loving wife and mother who enjoyed playing the piano, singing in the church choir and tending to her rose gardens. In 1985, she and her husband retired to Grass Valley and in 1995 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their wedding vows at St. Canice Catholic Church. Ceci remained in Grass Valley until 2001 when her husband passed away. At age 77, she moved to Santa Rosa to be near her youngest daughter, Carrie Aguilera, who was designated to oversee and manage her care. Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at the St. Eugene"s Cathedral, 2323 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, CA. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at the Lafferty and Smith Colonial Chapel, 4321 Sonoma Highway, Santa Rosa, CA (707) 539-2921
