Mary Penberthy Smith - SMITH, MARY PENBERTHY" Entered into rest peacefully, in Santa Rosa, CA, on April 28, 2010. Dearly beloved mother of Tony Bohn, Peter Smith and Susie Bolte. Cherished grandmother of nine, adored great grandmother of one. A native of El Centro, CA, age 90 years. Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Florence Penberthy, her husband, Samuel and one son, Michael Bohn. Mary was raised in Southern California and graduated from Scripps College. She traveled extensively with her husband Samuel C. Smith (a career Army Officer) and enjoyed learning about other cultures and their cuisines. She was a passionate reader, an accomplished artist, fluent in several languages and has been a long time resident of Oakmont.
