Maureen Anita Taverna

Maureen Taverna of Petaluma died peacefully at home on November 6, 2025, at the age of 80. 

She is survived by her children Laurie Taverna, Christi Taverna, and John Taverna, grandson Anthony Taverna and great granddaughter Savanah Taverna and brother Joseph Respini. Preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Anita Respini and her partner Ross Spriggs. 

For many years she worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Wilson School and Union School and was a Supervisor at The Jockey Club where she retired after 22 years. 

Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00pm with a Funeral Liturgy at 6:00pm at Parent Sorenson Mortuary in Petaluma on Thursday, November 20, 2025. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
