Mazzini 'Mutz' Joseph Maffioli - â??Mutzâ?? Maffioli passed away peacefully on September 8, 2009 surrounded by his loving family in Hidden Valley, CA. He had been cared for by his son and daughter-in-law; Marty and Suzanne during his courageous battle against cancer. Beloved husband for forty-four years to the late Theresa Maffioli. Loving father of Marty Maffioli and his wife Suzanne of Hidden Valley, Melissa Schulze and her husband Rich and Michael Maffioli all of Petaluma. Cherished grandfather of Joseph, Nicole, Matthew, Amber, Natalie, and Giovanni. Dear brother of Angie Montini, Rena Garliepp, Nobile Maffioli, Rick Maffioli, and Ida Sartori. â??Mutzâ?? was born, raised and educated in Sonoma, CA. He enlisted in the Army and proudly served during the Korean War. Mutz was one of the original members of the â??The Devilâ??s Darlings Car Clubâ??. He enjoyed old cars, camping, gardening and bird watching. He was employed by the State of California as a Heavy Equipment Operator for over 34 years.
