Michael John Abramson

December 19, 1945 — September 20, 2015

MICHAEL ABRAMSON passed away on September 20, 2015 at the age of 69 years. Cherished father of Kim Garatti and David Abramson and his wife Colleen all of Petaluma. Adored father-in-law of the late Scooter Garatti. Devoted grandfather of Anthony Garatti, Austin Garatti, Donavin Abramson, and Wyatt Abramson all of Petaluma. Loving brother of Steve Abramson and his wife Lauren, Mark Abramson and his wife Kendall, and the late Rick Abramson and Annie Abramson-Nelson. Proud uncle of Paul, Sarah, and Madeline and their families. Mike was born, raised and educated in Marin County. Thirty-five years ago, he and his family moved to Sonoma County. He worked in the food service industry, owning a deli and later sold food service equipment. His apparent knack for ‘wheeling and dealing' earned him the nickname "Deals." Mike, or as he was better known "Papa Mike" and "Grandpa Red," was absolutely devoted to his grandsons. He could always be found watching their baseball games and cheering them on; he was their #1 fan. His passing has left a gap in the hearts of his family and friends; he will be greatly missed. Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma. Private Inurnment: Point Arena Catholic Cemetery. Family assisted by PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, Petaluma. Memorial Mass
