Michael C. Carpenter, 61, died peacefully on September 28, 2016 in Palo Alto, CA surrounded by his family and friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Patty, of 29 years and his adored children, Jessica, Kayla and Jeffrey. Also survived by his mother, Frances Ann Mccann Carpenter, siblings Catherine Bocchi (Joe), Christine deBarrill Sales, Brenda Wasden (Doug), Linda Sharpton (Jimmy), Jerome Carpenter (Debbie), Peter DeGregory, Allie Carpenter III (Tina), Steven Carpenter and many nieces and nephews and extended family.
He was born May 19, 1955 and raised in San Francisco and later moved to Marin County at age 17. It was there he began his career in painting at the Village Paint Shop. He continued painting for 43 years and spent the last 27 years with Giampolini & Co. Michael was a dedicated hard worker who took pride in his work yet still had fun with his co-workers. He respected his company and enjoyed working there for all those years, and he appreciated their support in his time of need. He had a special place in his heart for his projects at USF, working under Jerry DeRosa, and in conjunction with all of the USF office staff and crew.
He and his wife Patty built a life of family and love. He was a patient, compassionate, fun loving husband and father who never complained and lived life to the fullest. He adored and loved his family with all his heart and enjoyed spending time with them. He was grounded, honest and loyal beyond words. Michael had an amazing sense of humor, never took life too seriously and was an over all genuine person.
His main hobbies were traveling, fishing, abalone diving, live music, dancing and spending time with family and friends. He was a diehard S.F. Giants and 49ers fan. He also enjoyed live music and dancing with his wife and friends. He will be sorely missed.
