Michael Joseph DeBonis, Sr. - DeBONIS, MICHAEL JOSEPH, Sr." Entered into rest in Santa Rosa, CA on January 28, 2012. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marguerite Ann DeBonis of Fulton, CA. Loving father of Michael J. (Denise) DeBonis of Fulton, CA and James A. (Gail) DeBonis of Healdsburg, CA. Adored grandfather of Jonathan DeBonis, Lyndsie DeBonis and Amy DeBonis. Step-grandfather of Nick Esposti, Marie Esposti-Winter and Tony Esposti. Step Great Grandfather of four. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A native of Newark, NJ, age 95 years. Michael and his brother-in-law, John Esposti, were the founders of their automotive garage, DeBonis & Esposti, located at the intersection of Fulton and River Roads. Beyond automobiles, he could repair just about anything. Retiring in 1977, he loved to fish and travel on cruise ships. He is remembered as a wonderful, generous and honest man, and a friend to many. He was always there to help, and was devoted to family. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during WWII. He was a past member of the Italian American Club and has been a resident of our community for the past sixty-seven years.
