Milana M. Paskvan Allan - Milana Allan passed away peacefully on September 23, 2007. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, and her sisters, Natalie, Helen and Eloise. She is survived by son Mark (Susan Giacomini) and her grandsons Kevin and Stephen, by stepson Robert (Maddie) and his children Brett and Chris, and by brother-in-law Al Hawkes, and many nieces and nephews. Milana Paskvan grew up in North Beach. As a girl she helped her mother care for the Holy Family Sisters and aided victims of the influenza pandemic. She left Galileo High to support her family. In 1936 she married Kenneth Allan. Throughout her life she worked as a sales girl, TV script girl, and all-around assistant to support her husband's work as Bureau Chief of Movietone News and for their own company Essanay Motion Pictures. Milanaâ??s devotion to her family was unhesitating and complete. She sang joyfully, and never allowed anyone to leave her house without at least a snack, usually a full meal.
