Minnie Doss Brown - Minnie Doss Brown passed away in Lakeport, CA on January 6, 2010. Loving wife of Alec A. Brown and the late Melvin G. Doss. Loving mother of Joyce M. Numan and her husband Randall of Sparks, NV, Richard M. Doss, and his wife Judy of Scottsdale, AZ. Dear Grandmother of Adam Doss, Sheldon Doss, Linnea Fitzsimmons, Therese Mote and the late Annette Whitfield. Great-grandmother of Amber Fitzsimmons, Sean Fitszimmons, Donovan Doss and Nicholas Doss. Sister of Ann Pestell, Henrietta Ash and the late Pearl Gillham, Ken Straub and George Straub. Survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born, reared and educated in Petaluma, Minnie was a descendent of the pioneer Matzen family. She and Melvin owned and operated the Holy Ghost Grocery on Bodega Ave. for several years. In 1981 Melvin passed away. She married Alec A. Brown in 1983 and finally settling in Clearlake in 1988.
