Myrna Jean Donaldson “Paris”, the matriarch of the family, born in Petaluma, June 28th, 1936, lived a life full of love, until her passing on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at age 89. A mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, a friend to many, and a resident of Penngrove for 50 years, Myrna always brought her caring charm and quick wit.
Graduating class of 1954 from Petaluma High School, Myrna’s heritage was connected to a generational Penngrove egg farming family and went on to own and operate Tommy’s Market on Kentucky Street in Petaluma with her husband Thomas Landers from 1965-1971. Myrna finished her grocery career as a clerk for Fiesta Market in Boyes Hot Springs. Other notable years of work and community involvement include: volunteering for the Petaluma Valley Hospital Auxiliary, and engaging with customers as a cashier for the guards at San Quentin Prison. Myrna met people and pets with a smile and had strong family values. She would adopt neighborhood stray cats and they loved her for feeding them canned food and treats.
Myrna is survived by her four sons: Thomas Landers, Michael Landers, John Landers, Adam (Alysia) Landers; and her three sisters: Barbara, Kathy, and Wilma. She was a cherished grandmother to Ryan & Jason, Mark & Kristina, Sean & Bryce, Ava & Luke, and a great grandmother to Emily. Myrna had a longtime friendship for over 50 years with neighbor Gino Giorgetti. She will also be missed by her many other relatives, friends, and her beloved Labrador dog, Jake.
