Myrna Clarice Wahpepah Wright (Wah Ni Macqua) Sac and Fox & Kickapoo Nation October 16, 1933 ? August 20, 2016 Myrna Clarice Wahpepah Wright (Sac & Fox and Kickapoo Nation) and an enrolled citizen of Sac & Fox Nation of Oklahoma, passed peacefully from this life the morning of August 20th, after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life. Myrna was born in Concho, Oklahoma, but had lived in Sonora, CA, and Oakland and Alameda, Ca since the early 1950?s. In 1985, after raising her two boys, Jimmie Dale Jr. and Scott Henry Shawnego, Myrna retired from UC Berkeley after 19 years of service and moved with her husband David Wright, in beautiful Bodega Bay, CA where she lived the remainder of her life. Myrna is survived by two children; Jim Dale Shawnego Jr. (Jimmie Dale), Scott Henry Shawnego Sr. (Scotty); daughter-in-law Suzanne Shawnego (Suzy); three step-children; Alexander, Lilah and Michael Wright; five grandchildren: Joseph Shawnego, Vanessa Shawnego, Michelle Shawnego, Scott Shawnego Jr. and Veronica Shawnego and four great grandchildren: Anthony, Noah, Mateo and Adelina. Myrna is also survived by her brother Fred Wahpepah Jr. and sisters Beverly Wahpepah and Carleta Wahpepah Billy. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cecelia Jennings and father Fred Wahpepah Sr., her brother Bill Wahpepah and sister, Teresa Wahpepah Ballenger. As an expression of sympathy, the family prefers memorial contributions in Myrna's name be directed to the Santa Rosa Indian Health Project. Visitation
