At peace and in the hands of our Lord, surrounded by her loving family, Nadine Bates Tallent passed away in her home at the age of 90, on April 6th, 2016. Born in Bernie Missouri August 3, 1925 to James and Martha Bates. She was preceded in death by her parents and her two sisters and two brothers, and husband, George. Nadine is survived by her two sons Michael Tallent and wife Nora , and son James Tallent and wife Nancy. She is survived by four grandchildren Jon (Cori) Tallent, Melissa (Shannon) (Sos) and Sean Tallent and Laura Tallent. And one Great Grandson Sato.
Nadine grew up around the Bernie Mo. Area until she graduated from Bernie High School in 1944. In 1947 she moved to visit her sister in Lompoc California, where she met her future husband George F. Tallent, who in the army, stationed at the Detention Barracks outside of Lompoc, California. They married and raised their children in Lompoc. Nadine was very involved in their church and community for over 50 years. When Nadine's children were in Junior High she went to work for the Air Force as a Federal Employee, where she worked for 25 years. Nadine was a strong-willed independent thinker, animal lover, and was very loved by her family. After her husband George died she moved to Petaluma to be close to her two son's families and relatives, where she resided until her passing. She will be forever in our hearts.
