Ned A. Vitali

Died peacefully at home with family, August 31, 2018. Loving husband of 60 years of the late Marilyn J. Vitali.

Devoted father to his 3 girls, the late Lisa Vitali Kilmartin, Annette Vitali-Thompson & Jeannine Vitali-Schulz and father-in-law to Jack, Kevin & Hal.

Beloved Nonno of Hunter (Nicolle), Chelsea, Benjamin (Shelby), Evan & Brian; great grandfather of Aria, Hayden, Heath & Alessia. Big brother to Betty Pengelly (Virgil) & Irene Draper (Ron); brother-in-law of Julie Crowley (Jim). Uncle of numerous cherished nieces & nephews; dear cousin. Loyal friend to many.

Born on Feb. 12, 1934 to Sam & Agnes Vitali in Madera, California. Spent his childhood in Madera & Fresno with large, extended Italian family; moved to San Francisco as a teenager. Graduated from Mission High School; attended UC Berkeley; served in US Air Force. With Marilyn settled in Pacifica in 1968 to raise their family. Field Engineer for IBM & Kodak; after retirement spent time between Nevada City, Pacifica & Sonoma County. Ned leaves a rich legacy of love, care & help toward others.

Family and friends are invited to the Vigil Service, Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018 at 7:00 PM at PARENT-SORENSEN MORTUARY & CREMATORY, 850 Keokuk St., Petaluma and Funeral Mass, Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. James Catholic Church, 125 Sonoma Mountain Parkway, Petaluma, CA.
